What is the process of re-upholstering your furniture?

Preparation:

Choose your custom look. Choose your fabric and set up an appointment for free estimate. Our showroom is open 9:00-5:00 during the week. The shop is also open by appointment on Saturday.

Prepping the furniture. First, we remove all the old fabric from the furniture. This allows us to examine the framework. We check the springs, the joints in the frame, and the padding.

If minor repairs are needed, we take care of them at no cost to the customer. Re-gluing the joints in the frame are done with wood screws, dowels, and high quality glues.

Springs are retied using the old fashioned 8-way hand tying. This is the highest quality and most durable repair for the springs.

The padding is evaluated to determine if new foam is needed. In some cases it is just of matter of steaming out the old foam and bringing it back to it's original quality. If the foam does not bounce back, we replace it, using the highest quality foam.

Any furniture that requires fabric to be sewn is done so on an industrial sewing machine using high quality thread. The fabric is then applied to the furniture. Detail and trim is added.

R & R will then call to set up a appointment for delivery.
